Ehrenpreis der Jury  2017  - Walter König

For the seventh time, the jury of the Cologne Culture Prize awards an honorary award. The aim is to honor people or institutions who have given significant impetus to Cologne's culture. The award goes to Walther König this year. The internationally recognized specialist in art and architecture with his bookstore has been a sought-after address for artists, gallery owners, publishers and art lovers for almost fifty years. In addition, König had made a name for himself as a publisher of art books and monographs far beyond the borders of Cologne, for example with the bestseller “Can I find happiness?” By Peter Fischli and David Weiss.
